Scholarships

The winner of the 2021-2022 Memorial Scholarship is a well deserving student from Fox Valley Technical College. Her noted academics, performance and interpersonal skills will definitely shine as a medical assistant in the field. Her professors have seen her helping and supporting other students along with her excellent time management skills. She is a strong communicator and we know she will be a great representative of Wisconsin Medical Assistants. We hope to see her in the future as an active member of the WSMA.

Congratulations!

If you or know someone who would be a great recipient of the Memorial Scholarship Fund, please complete an application. Now taking applications for 2023-2024!

Recognize an outstanding CMA!
Do you know a CMA who has provided outstanding service or should be recognized by WSMA?  If so, tell us about it so that we can feature them on our website or at an upcoming meeting.

This year's nominee for the Medical Assistant of the Year Award has been a AAMA member for the past 6 years and has accomplished a lot in those years. She is a member of the Valley Chapter and has served as the Secretary and Vice President. She is currently the Valley Chapter President. On the state level she took on the responsibility of Home Office Coordinator. In her role as the WSMA Home Office Coordinator, she took the initiative to improve where and how to safely store the societies records, made the recommendations for a new fire proof cabinet, climate controlled storage unit, and researched ways to scan WSMA documents, so paper records can be eliminated. She has also volunteered for the Nominating Chair for 2021 and got a full slate of officers and delegates for AAMA in 2022. Danielle has also been the Scholarship Chairman for the past couple of years. She is currently our Valley Chapter President for 2023-2024. Danielle has taken on many community involvements as well, blood donation, Winnebago Crisis Line, and Honor Flight. She is married and has two beautiful children. This very deserving Medical Assistant of the Year award goes to Danielle Bodoh, CMA (AAMA) from the Valley Chapter. Congratulations Danielle!
