Public Policy
The Medical Assistant Scope of Practice ...
Certified Medical Assistants perform delegated clinical and administrative duties within the supervising physician's scope of practice consistent with the CMA's education, training and experience.  Such duties shall not constitute the practice of medicine.

Wisconsin Law

Section 448.03(2)(e) of the Wisconsin statutes indicates that the law shall not impinge upon the right to practice of:

    Any person providing patient services as directed, supervised, and inspected by a physician or podiatrist who has the power to direct, decide, and oversee the implementation of the patient services rendered.
