Welcome to our WSMA web page for the Greater Milwaukee Medical Assistants (GMMA).
Our Greater Milwaukee chapter meets on a regular basis, with speakers scheduled at monthly meetings. Join us so you can continue your professional development, and earn continuing education credit to maintain your CMA (AAMA) credential. We welcome new and returning members and guests at each meeting, so bring a friend!
There is no charge to attend our meetings, and you receive CEU credit through AAMA. If you are a member of AAMA and live or work in the Milwaukee metro area, select the Greater Milwaukee chapter when you renew your AAMA dues each year. If you do not specify a chapter, the AAMA assigns your chapter based on the mailing address you provide on your membership application or renewal. A portion of your AAMA dues supports our state society and local chapter.
Come to a meeting of the Greater Milwaukee Medical Assistants (GMMA), and bring a friend! We hope you join us each month to learn, network, and support our profession. Come for the free CEUs!
MEETINGS:
We meet the 3rd Thursday of the month, from September through November, and from January through May, at 7:00 p.m. (We do not meet in December, or in the summer.)
Our regular meeting place is the Aurora St. Luke’s Health Science Physician Office Building, located at 2901 W. Kinnickinnic River Parkway, Milwaukee, WI 53215.
The building and entrance are located on the north side of Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center (one block north of Oklahoma Ave., on “KK” River Parkway). There is plenty of free parking, with a surface lot in front of the building on KK River Parkway. At the entrance to the building, look for bright pink signs to direct you to our GMMA meeting on the lower level. (There is an elevator near the entrance.)

COMMUNITY OUTREACH:
We continue to support the Family Peace Center (formerly Sojourner Truth House), a shelter for battered women and their children. Members may choose to donate personal care items such as soap, shampoo, deodorant, and lotion. (Sorry, we cannot accept alcohol-based hand sanitizer.) Thanks to our members and guests for your generous donations.
We also have an ongoing quilting activity, which supports the Linus Project. Jean Zachariasen, CMA (AAMA) leads this initiative for our chapter.
